As the United States begins to ease sanctions against Cuba, financial professionals are taking a closer look at the new system that will be part of these major changes. Cuba Action Team Leader Andy Fernandez says that under the new system, U.S. banks can cut out the middleman, making transactions faster and more profitable.

Mr. Fernandez explains that U.S. banks should be wary of more indirect ways to run afoul of OFAC Cuba sanctions.
