A decorated Iraq war veteran, who suffers from post-traumatic stress has had a six-year prison term reduced to probation after the state agreed to vacate a home invasion conviction. Sam Siatta, was released from prison in May after serving about five months for a break-in of a home in April 2014.

Attorney Richard Winter and some members of Holland & Knight's Chicago office took on Siatta's case without charging a fee after he was sentenced, with Mr. Winter filing the documents with the appellate court that led to Siatta's release from prison on bond.
