More Diverse Pennsylvania and Florida Districts Might Shape 2020 Politics

As Pennsylvania and Florida grow in population, many of their congressional districts have become more racially and ethnically diverse. The population growth has not been uniform and that may effect local politics in 2020 and beyond.

"The changes will influence the 2020 election as well as Florida's politics going forward, said Public Policy & Regulation Partner Jim Davis. "The demographic changes in the state could shift the electorate’s priorities on different issues even if they don't change party alignment," Mr. Davis added. 

Mr. Davis is a former Florida House Representative.
