Partner Christopher DeLacy was interviewed for a Protocol article previewing a House Antitrust Subcommittee hearing about competition and antitrust activities in so-called Big Tech. During the hearing, Jeff Bezos, Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai — the respective CEOs of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Alphabet, Inc., the parent company of Google — will answer a variety of questions about potentially anticompetitive behaviors. Mr. DeLacy has represented a wide range of clients before Congress and talked about the preparation process.
"Typically you break them down at first," he said. "You try to trip them up at first, and then you build up their confidence from there...Once they're shown that there's some peril to what they're doing...they're much more amenable to being coached."
