On the Rise: Lara M. Rios
Daily Business Review
Partner Lara Rios was interviewed as part of a profile series by the Daily Business Review. She discussed her path to a law career, inspired by her father's achievements as the first Latino judge elected in Queens County, New York, as well as her goals for the upcoming year and how she has working to address issues of racial injustice. She also said the best advice she ever received was to run spellcheck and that if she weren't a lawyer, she would be "a bed & breakfast owner and operator in a small beach town."
When asked about her proudest career moment, she replied, "managing to pass the Florida bar exam almost 10 years after passing the New York bar exam while I was working full time at Holland & Knight as senior counsel while simultaneously leading the negotiation and closing of a major project finance transaction for an important client."
