Complaints During the First Day Without VAT Fell 58% Compared to the Same Day in 2021

Litigation attorney Danilo Romero participated in the article published by Asuntos Legales about complaints filed during the first Day without Value-Added Tax (VAT) in Colombia. According to statistics from the country's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, a total of 104 complaints were filed on the Day without VAT that took place on March 11, 58 percent less than in 2021. Mr. Romero, who focuses on consumer protection law, explained the obligations of companies with respect to this day.

"Companies have to respond to consumers, also offering guarantees," he said. "This should happen on the Day without VAT and in other areas of commerce."
