Mr. Schreiber emphasized the need for employers to review premium pay and overtime laws throughout the next few weeks. He also advised employers to distinguish between holiday bonuses and performance-related bonuses to avoid complications in overtime pay calculations.

"It truly has to be a gratuity. The gift from the employer to its employees in gratitude around the holiday season. That would work to avoid complicating overtime pay calculations," he said.
