However, public health advocates are in disagreement and have emphasized the potential benefits in preventing hospitalizations and lost lives. Mr. Gold expressed his concerns about the potential implications for cities where Democrats have historically fared well.
"Why would the White House effectively redline new manufacturing facilities in urban Democratic strongholds where young workers need high-paying, frequently unionized manufacturing jobs?" he said.
