Planning Commission Continues Hearing on Burton Way Project
West Coast Land Use and Environment attorney Ryan Leaderman was mentioned in a Beverly Hills Courier article covering recent decisions by the Beverly Hills Planning Commission on Builder's Remedy projects in the area, including a continued hearing on a 26‑story proposal at 8844 Burton Way and conditional approvals for mixed‑use projects on South Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard. Mr. Leaderman represents the developer of the project at South Rodeo Drive, a 19-story development with 30 residential units, six of which will be reserved for low-income residents. In response to concerns about the location of affordable units, Mr. Leaderman noted that although further dispersal is not required under state law, the applicant would accept the commission's request "in the spirit of compromise." The commission's actions are now subject to a 14‑day appeal period.
