Punching In: Keith Sonderling's Packed Regulatory Plans for DOL

Bloomberg Law

Labor and Employment attorney Timothy Taylor was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article about newly confirmed U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Secretary Keith Sonderling's regulatory agenda and the department's anticipated priorities under his leadership. The article covered efforts to reduce compliance burdens, advance workforce development initiatives and move forward with regulations affecting employers, while also highlighting the DOL's growing focus on artificial intelligence and workforce transformation. Tim noted that Sonderling's confirmation will help the government more efficiently advance existing rulemaking and other actions.

"It makes a tangible difference to have somebody who is permanently and solidly in that chair. You may see rules or other initiatives just move forward more smoothly and more quickly, but in terms of the regulatory direction of the department or its priorities – I don't anticipate major changes," he said.
