Terry Elling Joins Holland & Knight's Northern Virginia Office as Partner

Washington, D.C. – March 16, 2011 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Terry Elling has joined the firm's Northern Virginia office as Partner in the Litigation Section and Government Contracts practice group. Elling joins Holland & Knight with more than twenty years of experience in government contract law and litigation.

Immediately prior to joining Holland & Knight, Elling was a Partner with the Venable law firm where he advised and represented clients in government contract bid protests and post-award claims and disputes, internal investigations and government disclosures relating to potential False Claims Act and other violations, suspension and debarments, mergers and acquisitions involving government contractors, and industrial security matters including foreign ownership and control. He serves as Vice President for Education of the National Contract Management Association, Northern Virginia Chapter and is a frequent speaker at their meetings around the country. He is also a Vice Chair of the Contract Claims and Disputes Resolution Committee of the ABA Public Contract Law Section.

Elling is the past chair and member of the board of directors of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, a national organization dedicated to finding a cure for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and improving the lives of those affected.

He received his J.D. and undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.
