Holland & Knight Named Insurance Law Firm of the Year

MIAMI – September 26, 2012 – Holland & Knight has been recognized as the nation's 2012 Insurance Law Firm of the Year by Lawyer Monthly's Legal Awards, a research-based awards program conducted in association with the Economist.  The firm was honored for its achievement in engaging and responding to the demands of a new post-recession business environment and the recent global economic turmoil.

Lawyer Monthly asked more than 4,500 private and public attorneys, consultants and directors from financial institutions, government institutions and academic institutes to select law firms they felt were best in several categories. The winners were chosen based on key criteria, including legal expertise, innovation, excellence in deal making, dedication to client care, previous international accolades and outstanding performance over the year.  The list of award winners was published in the 2012 Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards Special Edition.

This is the second award the firm's Insurance Industry Team has received in 2012. Directors & Boards magazine recently named Holland & Knight the number-one law firm in the United States for dealing with director liability issues.  This is the sixth year in a row Holland & Knight has been recognized by Directors & Boards with this honor.
