Nick Milano Selected for Leadership Florida Class XXXI

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – September 17, 2012 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Nick Milano, executive partner of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office, has been selected to participate in the 31st Annual Class of Leadership Florida.

Fifty-five Florida leaders – corporate CEO’s, small business owners, educators, elected officials and non-profit executives will participate in an eight-month learning experience that will take them to communities across Florida. They will attend non-partisan educational sessions providing a comprehensive look at Florida’s major issues, including education, governance, economy, growth, environment, demographics, arts, and health care.

To date, more than 1,500 men and women have graduated from Leadership Florida programs. Collectively, members of Leadership Florida serve on more than 5,000 corporate and non-profit boards throughout the state, providing key leadership in their local communities and in the state.

Mr. Milano is a partner in Holland & Knight's Real Estate Section and focuses his practice on the representation of lenders, developers and borrowers. He is recognized as a top attorney in his field by the South Florida Legal Guide and Florida Trend's Legal Elite.

In the community, Mr. Milano serves a member of United Way of Broward County's public policy advisory committee. He is also active in The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, is a graduate of both Leadership Fort Lauderdale and Leadership Broward, and is a past president of the Literacy Coalition for Broward County, as well as a member of the Broward Workshop.
