Holland & Knight Adds Partner to its Finance and Latin America Practices

NEW YORK (February 20, 2014) - Norberto E. Quintana joins Holland & Knight's New York office as a partner in the financial services practice area. Mr. Quintana has a broad range of experience working on corporate, project and structured financings in the bank loan and capital markets and debt restructurings.

"Norberto has a wealth of experience in cross-border finance transactions, which is a particular area of growth for us," said Joe Sirven, leader of the firm's financial services practice. "We are very excited to have him join us. He will add considerable depth in complex financings and continue the expansion of Holland & Knight's coverage in Latin America."

A native of Argentina, Mr. Quintana joins Holland from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York. Mr. Quintana has represented some of the leading banks in corporate and project financings, and borrowers and private equity and project sponsors in a variety of financings and balance sheet management transactions throughout Latin America. Mr. Quintana has represented the joint lead arrangers in several financings in excess of $1 billion. Among the industries in which he has handled transactions are oil and gas, oil field services, infrastructure, telecommunications, consumer products and retail.

Mr. Quintana routinely represents lenders, corporate borrowers and investment funds in U.S. domestic financings. In addition, Mr. Quintana has significant expertise in secondary loan trading matters.

Formed in 1981, Holland & Knight's Latin America practice group includes more than 80 attorneys with in-depth experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and financing transactions, and business disputes in and involving Latin America in commercial centers throughout the world.

Mr. Quintana received a law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires in 1998, an LL.M. degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2000 and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School in 2003.
