Tampa, Fla. (October 21, 2014) – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Tampa-based associate David Lisko has successfully completed the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) certification exam and is now a certified NFL agent and contract advisor.
The NFLPA is the union for professional football players in the National Football League. Established in 1956, the NFLPA has a long history of assuring proper recognition and representation of players’ interests and is the only organization with the power to recognize agents.
Mr. Lisko focuses his practice on employment and sports law. He serves as an agent to multiple professional athletes and represents professional sports teams. In 2014, Mr. Lisko founded the Florida Sports Law Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization that unites legal professionals working in the sports business industry and educates them on the latest sports law issues.
Mr. Lisko earned his B.A. degree from Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Prior to entering law school, he was an Academic All Big Ten Team selection, a three-time Big Ten Conference champion as a wide receiver on the Ohio State University football team and a Great Western League champion as a member of the Ohio State University lacrosse team.
