Digital Media and the Internet

We have a deep understanding of the development, production and distribution of digital media. Our team has extensive experience handling industry-specific issues such as content production, rights acquisition and licensing; analyzing defamation, privacy, copyright and trademark issues; and preparing all forms of agreement required for worldwide digital distribution and licensing of digital media content.

Our attorneys work with clients to mature business operations through the development of robust documentation, including public-facing materials (e.g., website terms of use and privacy policies) as well as their internal cybersecurity, privacy, incident response and employee practices (e.g., acceptable use; social media). We counsel clients on how to operationalize federal and state requirements such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Endorsement Guides, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar comprehensive state privacy laws, among others. We also advise clients on the use of data analytics, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in online advertising, marketing and sales, and other data utilization opportunities involving personal data.

We litigate online copyright claims, as well as investigate and prosecute online intellectual property issues.
