Holland & Knight Represents Fyffes in Acquisition of Canada’s Highline Produce

MIAMI (April 4, 2016) – Holland & Knight advised Ireland-based Fyffes plc in its $109 million (CAD$145 million) purchase of Canadian mushroom producer Highline Produce Limited. Fyffes, a global importer and distributor of fresh produce, acquired 100 percent of the equity in Highline and plans to refinance its existing debt. The deal is part of Fyffes’ strategy to expand its business into new areas of agriculture.

Highline, a portfolio company of U.S. private equity firm Peak Rock Capital, is the largest fully integrated mushroom business in Canada. It operates five facilities in Ontario and Québec.
