NEW YORK (August 24, 2016) – Lara M. Rios has joined Holland & Knight’s New York office as a senior counsel in the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group. Most recently, Ms. Rios was deputy general counsel at ContourGlobal, a growing privately owned international power generation company with traditional and renewable energy projects representing 3,700 MW across 17 countries. She was responsible for overseeing corporate and project-level transactions and supporting all phases of development, acquisition, construction, operations, and project and corporate financings.
At Holland & Knight, Ms. Rios will represent financial institutions, investment banks, and public and private companies in connection with structuring complex finance transactions, both domestic and cross border, with a particular focus on energy/infrastructure companies and Latin America.

Prior to moving in-house, Ms. Rios was a senior associate in the corporate department at Latham & Watkins. Previously, she was an associate with Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
Ms. Rios received a J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. degree from Yale University.
