Healthcare Litigator Matthew Zimmerman Returns to Holland & Knight
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 8, 2018) – Litigation attorney Matthew Zimmerman has rejoined Holland & Knight’s West Palm Beach office as a partner. Mr. Zimmerman returns to the ranks of Holland & Knight partnership after having served as associate general counsel of MDVIP Inc., a national membership-based healthcare company with more than 850 primary care physicians and approximately 300,000 patient members. Mr. Zimmerman was an attorney with Holland & Knight for 10 years prior to joining MDVIP.

Mr. Zimmerman focuses on commercial litigation with an emphasis on the healthcare industry. He has experience handling trade secrets, “business divorces” (i.e., business breakups), unfair competition, and consumer protection matters, as well as contract and restrictive covenant disputes. Mr. Zimmerman has helped innovative healthcare clients implement risk management, compliance and arbitration programs. He has also advised on medical practice acquisition and structuring and healthcare service agreements, marketing, public relations, fraud and abuse, technology and privacy issues. His practice includes the representation of clients in high-stakes business disputes, particularly those involving injunction claims.

Mr. Zimmerman earned a J.D. degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.A. degree from the University of Florida.
