Holland & Knight Advises Banco Multiva on $60 Million Loan to Mexican State of Chihuahua
MEXICO CITY (July 22, 2019) – Holland & Knight advised Banco Multiva on a MXN$1.18 billion (US$62 million) loan to the Mexican state of Chihuahua, as part of a MXN$28 billion (US$1.47 billion) financial reorganization. The transaction closed on July 17.
The loans were refinanced pursuant to Mexico's law on financial discipline for federal entities and municipalities (Ley de Disciplina Financiera de las Entidades Federativas y los Municipios).
Banco Multiva was selected as lender to the state of Chihuahua through competitive bidding processes.
Holland & Knight Partner Alejandro Landa Thierry and Associate José Luis Villareal represented Banco Multiva in the transaction.
