Holland & Knight Partner Phillip Durham Elected Fellow of American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers

NEW YORK (March 1, 2021) – Holland & Knight Partner Phillip Durham has been named a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL). Mr. Durham is the head of the firm's Asset Finance Group.

Membership in the college is limited to commercial finance lawyers, jurists and academics who not only have achieved preeminence in the field of commercial finance law, but also who have contributed significantly to the education of others in the field through teaching, lectures or published writings. Fellows must have at least 15 years of experience practicing law, 10 of which must have been in commercial finance law. They also are recognized for their significant contributions to the field of commercial finance and high stature within the profession.

Mr. Durham's practice focuses on domestic and cross-border asset-based financing, leasing, acquisitions, sales and securitizations, with a particular emphasis on global aviation finance and equipment finance in Latin America. His client roster includes some of the biggest names in aviation and equipment finance for which he has handled billions of dollars of transactions around the globe, including numerous deal-of-the-year award winners. He is the former chairman of the American Bar Association's Aircraft Financing Subcommittee, a member of the Executive Committee of the Legal Advisory Panel of the Aviation Working Group, and the secretary general of the MAC Working Group.

Other Holland & Knight partners who are ACCFL Fellows include Richard Brown, James Chadwick, Leonard Gilbert, William Piels and John Pritchard.
