Holland & Knight Joins "Empresas por la Vacunación" Movement in Colombia to Vaccinate Employees

BOGOTÁ (June 30, 2021) – Holland & Knight has joined the "Empresas por la Vacunación" (Companies for Vaccination) program in order to vaccinate its employees in Colombia against COVID-19 and help the nation move past the crippling pandemic. Currently, only 12 percent of Colombians are fully vaccinated, and infections are sharply rising.

With this initiative, the Colombian business sector hopes to protect workers and their families, strengthen the National Vaccination Plan and accelerate the country's economic recovery and return to normalcy.

"At Holland & Knight, our people are the most important thing. We joined this program in order to help speed up the vaccination process and protect them against the virus," said Enrique Gómez-Pinzón, executive partner of Holland & Knight's Colombia office. "We will also extend this benefit to the immediate family members of our employees if they have not been vaccinated."

Holland & Knight is currently awaiting instructions from the National Association of Colombian Companies (ANDI) in order to start the vaccination process, but based on the information provided by the association, the firm expects that all employees who want to be vaccinated will receive their two doses before the end of August.

"We are at the worst moment of the pandemic in Colombia, and it is our responsibility as business leaders to help reduce infections and deaths in the country," concluded Mr. Gómez-Pinzón.
