Holland & Knight Strengthens Growing Private Equity Team with Addition of Christopher Froelich in New York
NEW YORK (September 13, 2021) – Holland & Knight has continued the strategic growth of its nationally recognized Private Equity Team with the addition of Christopher Froelich as a partner in New York.
"Over the past nine months, we have added more than 20 attorneys to our private equity practice from coast to coast to build on significant momentum representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies," said David Barkus, co-head of Holland & Knight's Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group and head of the firm's Private Equity Team. "Christopher represents an important strategic opportunity to further expand the firm's Northeast-based experience in private equity transactions and M&A. His business skills and legal acumen are in high demand as our national private equity team continues its upward expansion."
Mr. Froelich advises private equity funds and public and private companies in domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, divestitures, restructurings, recapitalizations and transactions involving distressed or bankrupt targets or sellers. He has experience working across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, media, retail, e-commerce, software and technology, financial services, energy, healthcare, marketing, food and beverage, manufacturing, real estate, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications.

Mr. Froelich is the latest of several key hires to join Holland & Knight's private equity practice since January, including Partner Jeffery Bell in New York; Partners Enrique Conde and Jordan Schneider in Miami; Partner Ryan Jackson in Chicago; Partner Eric Rubin in Philadelphia; Partner Olesya Bakar in Washington, D.C.; Partners Bryan Gadol and Wendy Kottmeier in Orange County, Calif.; Partner Rebecca Wilsker in Boston; and Partner Alvin Johnson in Atlanta. The firm also welcomed a dozen private equity attorneys in Texas after its recently completed merger with Thompson & Knight in August.
