Holland & Knight Partner Maria Currier Named Health Care MVP by Law360

MIAMI (September 19, 2022) – Holland & Knight Partner Maria Currier has been named a Health Care MVP by Law360. She is one of only five healthcare lawyers in the country to be selected for this honor.

In choosing Ms. Currier, Law360 cited her role leading Holland & Knight's national healthcare practice, "where she helps package Florida health care companies into billion-dollar deals." In 2021, she helped advise Lionheart Acquisition Corp. II (Nasdaq: LCAP), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), in connection with Lionheart's public offering, through acquisition, of MSP Recovery LLC for $32.6 billion. She also advised on the sale of 26 managed care clinics to Genuine Health Group.

When it comes to her chosen industry, Ms. Currier is inspired by the central mission: the health of the population. "The policies around how we deliver that service fascinate me," she told Law360. Additionally, Ms. Currier brings a different perspective to her practice, having formerly worked as a critical care nurse for six years.

Ms. Currier has more than 34 years of experience serving clients in the healthcare industry and is Board Certified in Health Law as recognized by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Her healthcare practice focuses on health reform matters, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial transactions, healthcare regulatory matters, fraud and abuse, managed care and international business ventures for healthcare clients.
