Overview

Morgan Allred is a bankruptcy attorney in Holland & Knight's Birmingham office, where she assists debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, indenture trustees and others in bankruptcies, receiverships, out-of-court workouts, Section 363 sales, debtor-in-possession (DIP) and exit financings and related litigation. Ms. Allred also has healthcare restructuring experience that includes working with distressed hospitals and health systems.

Ms. Allred's recent representative engagements include:

  • Represented Premier Kings Inc., a 172-unit franchisee of Burger King Corp., in a Chapter 11 case filed in the U.S. District Court for Northern District of Alabama, Southern Division, resulting in four separate sale transactions to Mosaic Gold Crown Group, Bulldog Restaurants, RRG of Jacksonville and Burger King Company; the transactions were recognized as the 2024 Chapter 11 Restructuring of the Year at the 16th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards ceremony
  • Serving as local bankruptcy counsel to the debtor, a multinational fast food restaurant franchisee
  • Representing the administrative agent to a hospital system exiting bankruptcy
  • Obtaining a dismissal for an automative lending company in relation to a disputed outstanding account balance
