Overview
Danny Athenour is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Denver office and a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Mr. Athenour focuses his practice on a variety of matters, including contracts, business torts, employment litigation, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, as well as securities and investments.
Prior to rejoining Holland & Knight, Mr. Athenour worked for a national law firm. He previously clerked for the Honorable Jane J. Boyle of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In the community, Mr. Athenour has a passion for helping those with disabilities. In 2018, he completed the Trans-America Route of the Journey of Hope, cycling 4,370 miles over 10 weeks to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.
Representative Experience
- Represented former business owners in a suit over breach of contract and fraud relating to the sale of their insurance business; obtained a multimillion-dollar settlement following mediation
- Lead counsel in an arbitration hearing, representing a credit union against multimillion-dollar claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- Represented a foreign company providing cryptocurrency-related services to users; achieved dismissal of all claims and avoided a putative class action
- Defended a high-profile client in claims of breach of contract, fraud and conspiracy relating to the sale of a luxury car
