Overview

Kennedy Caldwell is a healthcare regulatory attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office. Ms. Caldwell advises clients on a broad range of healthcare compliance, transactional and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Caldwell was an attorney in the healthcare group of a global law firm in its Nashville office. She conducted due diligence for healthcare transactions, assisted clients with Certificate of Need (CON) matters and advised on a wide range of healthcare regulatory and transactional issues.

While in law school, Ms. Caldwell worked in the office of general counsel at a children's hospital, where she gained experience with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, telehealth laws and healthcare contract provisions. She also worked in the office of general counsel of a healthcare system, where she advised on issues involving consent laws and Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) compliance.

In addition to her legal background, Ms. Caldwell served as a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, where she focused on FDA post-market study requirements and regulatory flexibility in drug approval. Through this experience, Ms. Caldwell gained in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulation, FDA policy and bioethics.
