Brian K. Cary is a real estate attorney based in Holland & Knight's Charlotte office, where he focuses his practice on commercial real estate development and investment matters. Mr. Cary has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial real estate projects with a nationwide scope.
Mr. Cary regularly represents real estate developers, asset managers and financial institutions, as well as other clients focused on industrial, manufacturing and retail projects. He also counsels such clients in matters involving the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, franchising and management of commercial real estate.
In addition, Mr. Cary advises on the negotiation and completion of purchase and sale transactions and leasing transactions involving shopping centers, restaurants, institutional bank branches, outparcels, other retail developments, office space, mixed-use developments, renewable energy projects, industrial and warehouse space, and undeveloped land for commercial use. In connection with these transactions, Mr. Cary drafts, develops, and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, leases, development and easement agreements, declarations and restrictive covenants, subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, and other related commercial real estate documents. He also advises clients in resolving title, survey and other due diligence issues.
Mr. Cary also assists clients in conducting multisite lease abstract and due diligence review projects in financing, acquisition and disposition transactions.
