Overview

Simon G. Ciccarillo is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Tysons office. Mr. Ciccarillo focuses his practice on government investigations and enforcement actions, white collar defense and complex commercial litigation.

Mr. Ciccarillo has experience representing individuals and entities on a variety of complex civil matters, as well as in government investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) into private entities.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Ciccarillo served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ernest Gonzalez in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.

During law school, Mr. Ciccarillo served as a lead online editor for the Washington and Lee Law Review and was on the executive boards of the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA) and the International Law Society. Mr. Ciccarillo interned at the Office of Foreign Litigation in the DOJ's Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch. He also externed with the Honorable Joel C. Hoppe of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and interned with the Honorable Anthony J. Trenga of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Ciccarillo worked as a paralegal in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) Unit of the DOJ's Criminal Division, Fraud Section, where he worked on several high-profile investigations across Europe and Latin America.

Not yet admitted to Virginia Bar; admitted to the District of Columbia Bar only and practicing under supervision of lawyers licensed to practice in Virginia.
