Overview
Alex Dimock is a litigation and real estate attorney in Holland & Knight’s Dallas office, where he practices before federal and state trial and appellate courts. Mr. Dimock focuses his practice on litigation, arbitration and counseling on matters involving commercial real estate, including real estate capital markets, with an emphasis on special servicers in the commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS) market; blockchain; internal investigations; and sports law.
Mr. Dimock has represented clients in all phases of commercial litigation, including serving as trial counsel for lenders, financial institutions and private equity funds in jury trials and bench trials, obtaining injunctive relief and securing appointment of receivers in state and federal courts and defending rights throughout the appellate process. He also handles complex commercial litigation, including matters involving non-compete, defamation and trade secret.
Mr. Dimock clerked for the Honorable Gerald Bard Tjoflat in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

- Represents lenders, all manner of predecessor noteholders and special servicers in connection with commercial real estate litigation in state and federal courts, including matters involving claims for breach of contract, fraudulent transfer, common-law fraud, conspiracy, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and tortious interference
- Represents banks and special servicers in all manner of receivership proceedings
- Represents banks and special servicers in jury and bench trials
- Represents professional athletes in connection with real estate and other investment vehicles
- Represented major private equity fund and national bank as counsel in matter involving fraud and negligence claims related to a commercial loan, resulting in favorable jury verdict, including attorneys' fees
- Represents national development company regarding construction and other disputes
- Represented oil and gas trust in defendant class action litigation
- Represented major oil and gas company in dispute regarding governmental and regulatory matters
- Represented major natural gas company in litigation regarding pipeline royalties
