Overview
Daniel "Danny" Fernandez is a corporate transactions attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office. Mr. Fernandez focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Mr. Fernandez represents private equity sponsors, independent sponsors and private and public companies in domestic and cross-border transactions throughout the investment life cycle, including acquisitions, portfolio company growth initiatives, strategic transactions and exits. He also advises founders and business owners in connection with the sale, recapitalization and other significant transactions involving their businesses.
Mr. Fernandez counsels clients on leveraged buyouts, corporate carve-outs, add-on acquisitions, minority investments, joint ventures, co-investments, equity arrangements and portfolio company capitalization matters. His experience spans industries, including professional services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology, consumer goods, manufacturing, hospitality and logistics.
Additionally, Mr. Fernandez advises directors, managers and executives on corporate governance, shareholder rights, equity incentive arrangements and other general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Fernandez was an M&A associate at a global law firm in Miami.
While in law school, Mr. Fernandez was a judicial intern for the Honorable George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and a legal extern in the complex frauds and cybercrime unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. Additionally, he served as an editor for the Columbia Business Law Review.
