Chris Gregores

Chris Gregores is a Portland business and real estate attorney whose national practice focuses on a wide range of business and real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale, lease, financing and development of commercial and residential properties.

As a member of Holland & Knight's Real Estate Practice, Mr. Gregores represents lenders, institutional investors, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other parties in the documenting and closing of complex transactions involving the acquisition, financing and disposition of office, retail, multifamily, renewable energy, industrial and mixed-use projects. Recent engagements in this area include:

• serving as special counsel to various financial institutions in connection with the financing of multiple renewable energy projects located in California
• assisting a client with the sale and leaseback of an industrial property
• serving as counsel to buyers and sellers in connection with the purchase and sale of numerous self-storage facilities, industrial buildings, vacant land for development and renewable energy projects

In addition, Mr. Gregores focuses much of his practice on leasing and representing a diverse mix of national and regional landlords and tenants in leases and other real property matters across the country. Some of his recent leasing engagements include:

• representing a national retailer in negotiating multiple ground leases of property in California
• representing a landlord in a major restaurant lease in the city of Portland
• representing a national retail tenant in negotiating commercial leases for sites across the country

Mr. Gregores also has extensive experience in the alcohol beverage industry. He has assisted clients with alcohol beverage licensing, as well as drafted and negotiated commercial leases for brewery tenants.
