Overview
Diego Herrera is a legislative assistant in Holland & Knight's Mexico office. Mr. Herrera assists with matters related to economic competition and regulatory compliance, as well as environmental, industrial and operational safety.
Mr. Herrera's professional career has spanned the public and private sectors, focusing on government relations, management, commercial relations, contracts, information analysis, as well as economic, legal and technical regulatory matters.
In the regulatory field, Mr. Herrera has experience in various aspects of the energy sector's value chain, particularly in marketing services for transportation, storage, natural gas processing, liquefied gas and petroleum. He advises and assists multinational energy companies in regulatory processes before Mexico's energy sector authorities, enabling them to secure approvals, maintain compliance and successfully advance their operations in the country. He also works with regulatory authorities regarding the management and administration of permits, authority requirements and audits.
In addition, Mr. Herrera has experience in foreign trade, managing international operations, logistics and customs, as well as negotiating trade agreements, market analysis and optimizing import processes.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Herrera was a general manager for an international energy group.
