Sean Muzquiz

Sean Múzquiz is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office and a member of the Labor and Employment Group. Mr. Múzquiz advises domestic and international companies on Mexican labor, employment and social security matters, including workforce strategy, regulatory compliance, employment disputes and collective labor relations.

Mr. Múzquiz also advises companies regarding onboarding and offboarding processes, including the termination of senior executives and other key personnel. He counsels clients on collective labor relations, including collective bargaining negotiations, union representation matters, labor disputes, strike proceedings, and salary and contract negotiations.

Additionally, Mr. Múzquiz assists companies during inspections conducted by Mexican labor authorities, conducting internal investigations and advising on compliance with collective bargaining obligations. He also drafts and updates employment agreements, amendments, separation documents, workplace policies, employee benefit plans, mandatory profit-sharing documentation and internal work regulations. He further advises clients on the design and implementation of workforce structures and services arrangements, as well as the identification, prevention and management of labor, employment and social security risks.

In addition, Mr. Múzquiz regularly shares insights on labor and employment developments through articles, conferences and industry seminars.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Múzquiz practiced labor and employment law at several prominent law firms in Mexico.
