Sean Muzquiz

Sean Muzquiz Garcia is a labor, employment and benefits attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office. Mr. Muzquiz focuses his practice on labor and social security law, including individual and collective matters, as well as litigation analysis and corporate labor structuring.

Mr. Muzquiz's experience includes onboarding and off-boarding processes for employees, termination of labor relations for high-level employees and collective relations. Furthermore, he has assisted companies during the labor inspection process by Mexican authorities and has participated in negotiations and litigation involving collective labor matters such as claims for ownership of collective bargaining agreements, strike calls and contracts, and salary reviews within these agreements. He routinely prepares and updates employment agreements and amendments, termination documents, internal policies, benefit plans, mandatory profit-sharing documentation and internal employment regulations.

In addition, Mr. Muzquiz has a solid background in labor and employment, as well as social security law, to provide legal advice and assistance on compliance and labor-related matters, internal investigations, collective bargaining obligations and the design and implementation of outsourcing and labor schemes.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Muzquiz has authored numerous articles and served as a speaker regarding labor law issues.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Muzquiz worked in the labor practice of several renowned law firms in Mexico.
