Overview

Trip Nix assists clients across a wide range of industries in complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues. His experience includes cases under Chapters 7 and 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. He represents debtors, creditors, and chapter 11 trustees in bankruptcy cases. Mr. Nix has experience with complex adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, involving fraudulent transfers, dischargeability, preferences and substantive consolidation.

In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Nix maintains a significant case load of commercial litigation cases in state and federal court. His experience includes drafting and arguing motions to dismiss under the Texas Citizens Participation Act, summary judgment motions, discovery motions and motions to strike expert witnesses. Trip also has first chair trial experience.

Previously, Mr. Nix gained valuable experience as an associate in a bankruptcy law boutique and as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Harlin D. Hale in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
