Overview
Michelle Ocampo Gómez is an environmental and real estate law attorney in Holland & Knight's Monterrey office. Ms. Ocampo focuses her practice on regulatory compliance, permitting and legal strategy within the real estate, infrastructure and environmental sectors across Mexico and Latin America.
Ms. Ocampo has held legal roles in the public and private sectors, including the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT), where she contributed to international bilateral treaty matters, as well as the Federal Administrative Court's Environmental and Regulatory Affairs Chamber. She has also worked in civil litigation and environmental law at various law firms, and in environmental consulting firms overseeing permitting and legal procedures for federal environmental compliance, administrative appeals and constitutional proceedings.
In addition, Ms. Ocampo served as an environmental coordinator at the largest real estate developer in Latin America, where she led the environmental and urban permitting process for industrial parks and tourism complexes. Her work also included legal due diligence for land acquisitions, analysis of environmental clauses in real estate contracts and coordination for securing green financial instruments such as sustainable loans.
