Overview
Ryan O'Sullivan is a real estate finance attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office and a member of the Real Estate Capital Markets Group. Mr. O'Sullivan represents lenders and borrowers in the origination and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans and loans structured for securitization as commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs).
Mr. O'Sullivan also represents servicers and special servicers in connection with loan workouts and other post-securitization matters. In addition, he represents clients in the acquisition and disposition of real estate, loan notes, and equity and preferred equity investments.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. O'Sullivan was a real estate associate at a law firm in New Jersey, where he maintained a broad commercial real estate practice. In addition to representing lenders and borrowers in commercial mortgage financings, he advised clients on the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, represented landlord and tenant clients in the negotiation of commercial leases, and guided clients through the land use and governmental approval process, including appearances before local land use boards.
While in law school, Mr. O'Sullivan served as a student attorney for the Community and Transactional Lawyering Clinic.
