Overview

Minerva Pinto is a Boston-based attorney in Holland & Knight's Private Wealth Services Group and a member of its Art Law Team. Ms. Pinto focuses her practice on the drafting and implementation of tax-efficient, multigenerational wealth planning strategies that are tailored to the particular objectives and dynamics of each family. Her practice also extends to professional fiduciaries and family offices with complex administration and drafting matters.

Ms. Pinto has significant experience at the intersection of wealth planning and the global art market, and she thoughtfully guides collectors and families through the acquisition, ownership and disposition of art and other collectibles. In addition to counseling clients on the nuances of estate and philanthropic planning for their passion assets, she advises clients on commercial transactions involving art and collectibles in the context of private sales, auctions and art-secured financing. Ms. Pinto has additional experience assisting visual artists, dealers and other market participants with legacy planning and business succession matters.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Pinto worked in the private wealth management division of a large multinational bank, where she engaged in the development and administration of high-net-worth clients' trust and estate plans, as well as educated collectors and advisors across the globe on a full range of art and collectible topics.

While in law school, Ms. Pinto served as editor-in-chief of the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review and was active in a number of public interest initiatives, including the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program and Wills for Heroes. She remains committed to providing pro bono legal services and serves on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations.
