Overview

Anthony Pirraglia is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office. Mr. Pirraglia focuses his practice on the areas of business reorganizations and debtors' and creditors' rights.

Mr. Pirraglia's practice also covers a broad range of bankruptcy-related matters across industries such as healthcare, real estate, transportation, retail, manufacturing, oil and gas, and media. He has extensive experience representing Chapter 11 debtors, creditors, creditors' committees and other parties in interest in all aspects of complex corporate restructurings, including out-of-court restructurings and distressed acquisitions.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a large financial institution as senior secured lender in connection with the prepackaged Chapter 11 cases of an independent oil and gas company focused on growing production and reserves in the core of the Delaware Basin
  • Represented Approach Resources Inc. and its affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases
  • Represented a large financial institution as collateral trustee and senior secured lender in connection with the Chapter 11 cases of an independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on the development of its properties in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas
  • Represented a substantial working interest owner and contract counterparty in connection with the Chapter 11 cases of independent exploration and production company with an oil focused asset base primarily in the Bakken Formation and Three Forks Shale
  • Represented creditor and contract counterparty with senior liens on certain equipment used in seismic data collection in connection with the Chapter 11 cases of Geokinetics Inc., et al.
  • Represented the agent for the primary secured creditors in the Chapter 11 case of III Exploration II LLP
  • Represented key employees in connection with the negotiation of employment agreements with Parker Drilling Company in its Chapter 11 case
  • Represented the bond trustee of a $300 million bond issuance in connection with the Chapter 15 cases of Sanjel (USA) Inc., et al.
  • Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Relativity Fashion LLC, et al. (Relativity Media)
  • Represented Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in its Chapter 11 case
  • Represented DPH Holdings Corp., et al. (post-confirmation successors to Delphi debtors) in litigation concerning General Motors' funding obligation under the debtors' Chapter 11 plan
  • Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of AMR Corp., et al. (American Airlines)
  • Represented the acquirer of substantially all assets of Long Beach Medical Center
  • Represented the acquirer of substantially all assets of Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, including its hospital and nursing home operations
  • Represented Cabrini Medical Center in its Chapter 11 case
