Overview

Max Porter is a legislative assistant in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office and a member of the Federal Government Affairs Practice. Mr. Porter primarily assists with legislative and regulatory matters related to emerging technologies and national security.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight in his current role, Mr. Porter served as an intern with the Government Section. He gained experience in a range of areas beyond emerging technologies and national security, including international trade, agriculture and political law, laying the foundation for his current work at the firm.

Mr. Porter first entered the policy and regulatory space as an intern in the office of Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), where he worked on matters related to homeland security and armed services. He later interned at the U.S. Department of Justice, gaining additional insight into emerging technologies and national security issues from an executive branch perspective.
