Spencer Ryerson

Spencer F. Ryerson is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office and a member of the Public Policy & Regulation Group. Mr. Ryerson focuses his practice on the intersection between clean technology, renewable energy and government financing.

Mr. Ryerson regularly assists clients in pursuing non-dilutive project funding through federal grants and loans. He is well versed in funding opportunities originating from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and U.S. Department of Commerce.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Ryerson was a legal intern for a prestigious Houston-area hospital and a well-known cancer research institute. In this role, Mr. Ryerson assisted with various legal issues relating to tax, institutional compliance, and patient confidentiality and privacy.

During law school Mr. Ryerson served as a student attorney in the Consumer Law Clinic, helping clients pursue claims of fraud, misrepresentation and deceptive trade practices.
