Overview

Alex Selig is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Dallas office, where he focuses his practice on advising real estate sponsors on the formation, negotiation and operation of private investment funds, programmatic joint ventures, funds of one, separately managed accounts and co-investments. Mr. Selig also has experience representing private equity, hedge and venture capital funds.

Mr. Selig has represented private investment funds ranging from emerging managers to multibillion-dollar funds. His work includes open and closed end funds, as well as debt and equity strategies. He has also counseled clients on a variety of corporate, regulatory and securities matters, including structuring domestic and international funds and their management companies, complying with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, establishing employee incentive vehicles, drafting internal policies and procedures, and restructuring existing funds. Additionally, Mr. Selig has represented institutional investors on their private fund investments.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Selig was a member of the private investment funds team for a global law firm, working with sponsors and investors in the real estate sector.
