Overview
Erik S. Siebert is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Richmond office who focuses on government investigations, white collar defense and complex civil litigation.
Mr. Siebert brings more than 15 years of experience in federal law enforcement, litigation and organizational leadership, including directing high-stakes investigations and managing complex legal matters. He advises clients on compliance in an evolving regulatory environment and provides strategic counsel to those facing government investigations or civil litigation, helping them identify and mitigate potential risks.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Siebert served as Interim U.S. Attorney and Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA), where he oversaw four separate offices with more than 300 employees. As U.S. attorney, he spearheaded prosecution efforts across the federal criminal spectrum, including national security, cybercrime, public corruption, fraud, violent crime, immigration and human trafficking. In addition, Mr. Siebert supervised all civil matters in the EDVA in which the U.S. had an interest, consisting of defensive and affirmative enforcement. He has held a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) level security clearance.
Most recently, Mr. Siebert served as a senior counselor to the attorney general of Virginia. In that position, he provided legal and strategic advice to the attorney general, led various criminal and civil initiatives and was a member of the attorney general's executive staff.
