David Thaxton

David Thaxton is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office, where he represents clients in a variety of real estate business transactions in Texas and nationwide.

Mr. Thaxton's practice focuses on the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of commercial properties of all kinds. He has particular experience in the rapidly developing data center and energy transition sectors, counseling a diverse client base – from landowners to developers to project end users – on complex data center, digital infrastructure and energy transactions. Mr. Thaxton also has experience negotiating and documenting real property matters in relation to joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and similar real estate-focused corporate transactions.

Additionally, Mr. Thaxton advises nonprofit organizations and charitable foundations in connection with the donation, stewardship and ongoing management of real estate assets.
