Overview

Kensye N. Wood is a litigation and trial attorney in Holland & Knight's Denver office, where she focuses on zealous advocacy in complex business and commercial disputes arising in many different contexts, industries and venues across the country, at both trial and appellate levels. Ms. Wood's practice centers primarily on business litigation, including trade secret violations, enforcement of restrictive covenants, stock option agreement litigation, employment disputes, consumer protection cases, defamation, unfair competition, commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes and business torts, among other issues. In these matters, Ms. Wood has assisted clients throughout all stages of litigations by preparing dispositive motions, engaging in discovery and preserving errors for potential appellate review.

With a steadfast dedication to client success and diverse experiences in high-stakes commercial disputes, Ms. Wood offers a results-driven approach to secure optimum results for her clients in each case. Clients know they can depend on Ms. Wood's meticulous preparation, innovative and relentless advocacy, and unwavering commitment to guide them through complex and stressful legal conflicts.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Wood gained experience in civil litigation and trial matters through her work as a summer associate in the firm's Litigation Section.

While in law school, Ms. Wood was a student attorney in the Denver Law Civil Rights Clinic. Through the clinic, she managed her own trial docket and successfully served clients through written and oral advocacy. Ms. Wood's previous experiences and background allow her to produce efficient and effective legal strategies with client-centered results.

In the community, Ms. Wood is involved in a number of efforts to advance diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the legal profession. Ms. Wood is also devoted to pro bono work, having represented service members in civil disputes arising during deployment, and asylum-seekers in affirmative and defensive proceedings.
