Overview

Henry A. H. Rosenzweig is an attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office. Mr. Rosenzweig handles transactional and litigation matters as a member of the Construction Industry Practice Group.

Mr. Rosenzweig's transactional experience includes negotiating architect, engineer and professional consulting agreements, as well as design-build agreements, construction management and contractor agreements, and building systems maintenance agreements for diverse projects such as airport facilities, cogeneration plants, commercial and residential buildings, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, green roofs and other sustainability efforts. Additionally, he has negotiated agreements for healthcare and education facilities, hotels, museums, railroad lines and train stations, as well as sculpture, mural and artwork installations. The total contract value for the small, large and mega projects that Mr. Rosenzweig has worked on exceeds $7 billion.

Mr. Rosenzweig's litigation experience includes the mediation, arbitration and trial of actions in state and federal courts involving similarly diverse projects involving design errors and omissions, wrongful termination, delay and extra work claims, bid protests, liquidation agreements, non-responsibility determinations by government agencies, lien law trust fund diversion claims and mechanic's liens. Mr. Rosenzweig's broad litigation experience within the construction industry has included claims involving the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant, prosecution and defense of executive noncompete agreements, prosecution of claims on behalf of a construction equipment distributor for breach of an exclusive sales representation agreement by a foreign manufacturer and engagement as special bankruptcy counsel with respect to a debtor's alleged diversion of lien law trust funds.

Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Rosenzweig worked at a Tokyo law firm for several years with a focus on residential and hotel developments in the U.S. and abroad, and as in-house corporate counsel for a U.S. subsidiary of an international construction company based in Tokyo.

Mr. Rosenzweig is proficient in spoken Japanese and has successfully completed Japanese language programs at Middlebury College and Earlham College in the U.S., along with Waseda University and Rikkyo University in Japan.
