The CCPA creates consumer privacy rights for individuals in California that go beyond the GDPR in some cases. This could mean entities will once again have to review and redirect their privacy and data management compliance efforts. California’s new law applies to all organizations that collect personal information on California consumers for a business purpose above certain thresholds.
