Post-Death Elections for the Executor and Trustee

Private Wealth Services Attorney Patrick J. Duffey will speak at the American Bar Association 2019 Fall Tax Meeting about "Post-Death Elections for the Executor and Trustee." The panel will discuss available elections that all fiduciaries should be aware of and the specific steps to take in order to take advantage of the election and remain in compliance, including those to treat trusts as estates for tax purposes, step-up in the basis of partnership property, distributions made after the end of a tax year, valuation and others.
