Taxation attorneys Larry Kemm, Seth Entin, William Sharp and Alan Granwell will present at the 39th Annual International Tax Conference, hosted by the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) and the Tax Section of The Florida Bar. The two-day virtual conference will offer updates on international tax law relevant to tax professionals.

Mr. Kemm and Mr. Entin will present on the first day of the conference. Mr. Kemm's presentation is titled "Current Developments in International Taxation: Outbound Update" and will review significant statutory, regulatory, administrative and judicial developments in U.S. outbound international taxation that occurred during 2020. Mr. Entin's presentation is titled "Planning for Foreign Investment in Distressed Debt" and will cover tax rules applicable to foreign persons interested in acquiring distressed debt of U.S. borrowers as well as planning opportunities and pitfalls.

Mr. Sharp and Mr. Granwell will present on the second day of the conference. Mr. Sharp's presentation is titled "Current Developments in International Taxation: Inbound and Controversy Update." He will highlight significant "inbound" U.S. statutory, regulatory, administrative and judicial developments throughout 2020 as well as review important U.S. Tax Court and federal court decisions, including recent FBAR litigation. Mr. Granwell's presentation is titled "What Every US Tax Advisor Must Know When Representing Clients With Operations in Europe: Impact of Mandatory Reporting Regime under DAC 6." He will discuss the background and application of the European Union's DAC 6 Mandatory Disclosure Regime and provide advice on how U.S. taxpayers and advisors should navigate it.
