New MSGP - 2021

Partner Dianne Phillips will join NEACHMM - AHMP New England Chapter for a webinar titled "New MSGP - 2021." She will provide an overview of the new Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP), which requires that existing permitted industrial facilities update their Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and file a Notice of Intent (NOI) to obtain coverage under the general permit by May 1, 2021. Ms. Phillips will also review the major changes in the permit and highlight aspects that will require more focus and diligence to comply with increased monitoring requirements. The presentation will review how the permit was streamlined, new requirements for signage and making the SWPPP publicly available, new requirements for control measures during major storm events, the new “indicator” monitoring parameters that are being required for a broad range of industrial sectors and additional corrective action measures for monitoring exceedances.
